By accessing or using dev-smiths.org ("the site") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

devsmiths offers free, browser-based developer tools — formatting, validating, repairing, converting, diffing, and otherwise working with JSON and related formats. The tools run client-side in your browser. The service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.

All tools and content on the site are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Tool output is provided as a convenience. We do not warrant that any conversion, validation, repair, or generated type definition is correct, complete, or fit for any specific purpose. You must independently verify any result before relying on it in production or in any decision-making context.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, devsmiths shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; or any other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the site or any output produced by its tools, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by that law.

You agree not to: abuse the site or attempt to disrupt it; scrape it in a way that imposes an unreasonable load; circumvent any rate limits or access controls; use the site to host or distribute unlawful content; or use the site for any purpose that violates applicable law.

The site, its design, code, copy, and the brand name "devsmiths" are owned by the site operator or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the site or its underlying code without our written permission, except as expressly permitted by an open-source license that ships with a given file.

Content that you provide as input to a tool remains entirely yours. We claim no ownership over your input or over the output the tools produce from it.

Open-source dependencies retain their respective licenses. See the project's THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES (when published) for the full list.

The site displays third-party advertising (e.g. Google AdSense). Ad content is the responsibility of the advertiser, not devsmiths. We do not endorse any product or service advertised on the site, and we are not responsible for any transaction you enter into with an advertiser.

The site may link to external websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites.

We may modify these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence still apply where they cannot be derogated from by contract.
